Panhandle Health District is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager and Vaccine Coordinator to provide leadership, education, counseling, and direct nursing care in a clinical setting. The Nurse Manager will supervise clinical functions, the vaccine program, and vaccine grant management work throughout the five northern counties of Idaho. This position will also be an active member of the Public Health Services management team and participate in preparedness functions. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday and will be stationed in Hayden, Idaho.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a clinical setting, experience leading teams of nurses and support staff, and hold a current RN Licensure. A bachelor’s degree is preferred. Strong leadership, communication, planning, and organizational skills are essential. An Idaho Registered Nurse license and valid driver’s license are required.

Some of the Responsibilities include:

• Supervision, managing performance, and making hiring decisions
• Direct patient care including patient education, counseling, immunizations, testing, family planning and women's health
• Provide training to nursing staff
• Oversee vaccine program and grant management activities
• Provide vaccine administration activities, including vaccine clinics
• Ensure clinical services are operating at the highest level of quality care
• Ensure operations align with State and Federal sub-grants.

Salary is $35.91 per hour, plus a complete benefits package which includes, health, dental, vacation and sick leave, 11 paid holidays, and a generous matching retirement plan. There is no scheduled on-call or weekends, although occasional evening or weekend hours may be required based on client needs.
