This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing company at the ground level. We offer definitive growth plans. We are looking for an individual with a basic understanding of insurance and medical billing. Responsibilities include posting insurance and patient payment, charge posting for professional, facility, and anesthesia claims, and claim follow up to ensure proper reimbursement. This is a hands-on role for a growing organization.
Requirements: Primary Responsibilities:
Verification of insurance for eligibility and benefits.
Submitting for referrals and pre-certifications.
Calculating out of pocket costs for scheduled procedures.
Claims scrubbing, submission, and rejections follow up.
Research insurance denials, zero paid claims, low-paid claims, low reimbursement, and respond to payers using written/verbal communications.
Work on assigned A/R to insurance payment for all claims.
Communicate with patients regarding COB issues, and patient balances.
Payment posting and reconciliation for insurance and patient payments.
Working with other Revenue Cycle teams to ensure accuracy and completion of claims on the account.

Candidate Qualities & Qualifications: *
High school degree or equivalent.
1 -2 years of experience in medical billing & coding preferred, but not required.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office (particularly Excel) and EHR software.
Detail Oriented and self-motivated.
Interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to identify and solve problems beyond scope of work.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent organizational skills.
