Avania is hiring - Revenue Accountant (Hybrid role)

In our Revenue Accountant role, your focus will be monitoring clients' payments, tracking financial transactions, and resolving billing discrepancies and reconciliations. You will release invoices and collect payments from outstanding debts. Further, you will identify business opportunities and client partnerships to generate more revenue resources and increase the company's profitability. You will also ensure the efficient and safe storage of all account information in our database.

This will be a hybrid role, located in either our Marlborough, MA, or Strongsville, OH office.

What you will do -

• Collect financial records and reports from key departments; regularly update revenue tracking sheets
• Monitor and manage clients’ accounts
• Process client recharges by project, working with the Project Manager to ensure efficient invoice and payment process
• Support team with projects/billable time recording system; set up, maintenance and reporting
• Manage and generate monthly client invoices; review and reconcile monthly the invoicing of pass-through expenses and recharges
• Evaluate outstanding accounts receivable balances monthly and contact clients with past due invoices to expedite payment
• Maintain and record business transactions in the GL, balance ledgers, reconcile accounts, and prepare reports. Follow all accounting procedures established within the department
• Recommend and participate in process improvements for the department
• Assist with various projects and deliverables as assigned.

What we seek -

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and prior Revenue Accountant, Sr Accountant or related experience; able to demonstrate solid understanding of accounting principles and full-cycle accounting
• Proficient with MS Office, with good Excel/spreadsheet skills (intermediate level or higher needed - must know formulas, pivots, lookups); NetSuite knowledge highly preferred (but not a must-have)
• Project accounting experience is highly desired
• Ability to learn and implement a new accounting system
• Able to work independently, collaborate with others, and meet deliverable timelines established weekly and monthly
• Proactive and accountable; very good with details while still able to see the larger picture
• Excellent organization skills with ability to multi-task and exercise good judgment, tact, and confidentiality in all matters
• Able to work well under pressure or time constraints; a problem-solver with the ability to flex with business needs
