Homeward Bound is a non-profit organization that provides home and community based services to people with intellectual and physical disabilities in a residential group home setting. We have 20 locations in Hennepin County. We follow a person-centered, active support approach to ensure that the individuals with disabilities we serve have a hand in directing their services and a voice concerning their future. We place no limits on what a person is capable of accomplishing. Every day we work to empower those we serve and their families with the resources to make informed decisions and control their own destiny.

We are seeking a dynamic individual with proven leadership skills to work as Program Manager, serving people with disabilities in a group home setting. This is a leadership, supervisory position which manages staff and volunteers. This person is responsible for the overall program and operation of the home you supervise.

This is a full time, benefits eligible position in Maple Grove.

Residential Program Manager Duties:

  • Coordinates internal and external resources to enhance the lives of the individuals living at Homeward Bound.
  • Manage standard operating procedures within the assigned home to assure compliance with organizational policies/procedures/standards, and state licensing requirements.
  • Responsible for program services for all individuals in assigned home.
  • Manages physical and financial resources within the assigned home.
  • Coordinates and facilitates IDT meetings, and ensures comprehensive program plans, risk management plans.
  • Plans and facilitates employee meetings, initial training, and ongoing training.
  • 20 hours of direct care weekly

Residential Program Manager Minimum Requirements:

  • Combination of education and related experience equal to four years required.
  • One year of supervision experience preferred.
  • A valid Minnesota driver's license with a good driving record is mandatory.
  • You must be able to lift a minimum of 60 pounds as most of our individuals require assistance with transfers.
  • You must be able to understand, speak, read, and write the English language.
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work as a team player as well as independently.
  • Because we provide services to vulnerable children and adults Homeward Bound can only employ applicants who pass a criminal background check.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Program and positive intervention experience.
