Residential Counselor Job at Jackson-Feild Behavioral Health Services

Residential Treatment Facility located in Jarratt, Virginia seeks positive role models to work directly with adolescent boys and girls in a trauma informed residential treatment program. The Residential Counselor is responsible for role-modeling healthy behavior and teaching life skills while implementing trauma-informed treatment practices. This is a full-time position.
Must possess the availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays. Flexibility is a must. Seeking candidates with experience working with youth in a professional setting. Job Seekers with corrections or mental health experience are encouraged to apply. Bachelor's Degree preferred, High School Diploma/GED required. Starting pay ranges from $15.00 to $17.00/hr. depending upon experience and credentials. $1.00/hr. shift differential is paid for week-day evening shift. $1.50/hr. shift differential is paid for first and second shifts on Saturday and Sunday.
JFBHS is currently offering a $1,000.00 retention bonus for new hires who remain employed for 12 months.
Compensation package includes 401(k) retirement plan & employer sponsored health, dental, vision & life insurance. JFBHS pays employees $415.00/month toward their Health, Dental, Vision & Life Insurance. JFBHS also provides a matching contribution to employees' 401(k) retirement accounts.
