Under direct supervision, the Staff Research Associate (SRA I) will be trained on behavioral data collection and scoring of neuropsychological/psychoeducational assessments involving healthy children from a diverse range of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. Responsibilities include: collaborating with the Project Manager of our research project, assisting in communications with administrative bodies at the University, assisting in the recruitment of participants, aiding in project administration, scheduling of meetings and outreach events, and coordinating with families of participants for projects funded by NIH R01 grants.

Note: A physical/health screening is required for this position.

Please note: The compensation ranges listed online for roles not covered by a bargaining unit agreement are very wide, however a job offer will typically fall in the range of 80% - 120% of the established mid-point. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.

For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS in a related science and knowledge of, or experience with, the basic techniques or methods required by the position; and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Note: A preliminary job offer and assignment may be extended pending successful background clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly with children
  • Demonstrated excellence in reliability and attendance
  • Experience in administering tests or assessments
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently as well as collaboratively with local and remote collaborators, with attention to detail and good organizational skills
