Certified Pharmacy Technician in Intake Department (Billing/Data Entry) for an evening shift
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Data Entry: MMP’s workflow starts in the data entry department and the quality of information being entered is of utmost importance! The Data Entry Technician is responsible for entering prescriptions into MMP’s FrameworkLTC and DocuTrack pharmacy systems, with attention to both accuracy and speed. The Data Entry Technician will also provide exemplary community and resident support via telephone and email.
Essential Functions (including but not limited to):

  • Interpreting and entering of prescription orders
  • Profile-only data entry
  • Answering phones and providing excellent customer service
  • Checking emails and messages to pharmacy and responding promptly and professionally
  • Investigating and solving community and/or resident issues
  • Adjudicating insurance claims

Cycle Fill / Medical Records: Over 90% of the daily prescription volume dispensed by MMP is initiated by the Cycle Fill team. The Cycle Fill team is responsible for executing MMP’s Cycle Fill (auto-fill) processes and providing first class customer service and support. Medical Records is responsible for applying billable diagnoses to patient profiles, communicating with facilities based on the needs of the resident MAR (Medical Administration Record), EMAR (Electronic Medical Administration Record), and POS (Physician Order Sheet), and enduring Community census notifications are processed and up to date. The Med Rec Technician will also provide exemplary community support via telephone and email.
Essential Functions (including but not limited to):

  • Preparing and executing cycle-fill (auto-fill) processes / fills
  • Electronic prescription claim adjudication
  • Uploading and/or printing medical records
  • Facility records setup
  • eMAR support
  • Inbound/Outbound phone calls, providing excellent customer service
  • Checking emails and messages, responding promptly and professionally

Billing: The Billing Pharmacy Technician is responsible for correct entry, processing, and follow-up related to the billing of resident prescriptions. The Billing Technician is an advocate for the residents we serve and a revenue generating function of the company – both roles are equally important. This in most cases requires an investigation mindset to research, follow-up, and ensure completion of billing tasks. Attention to detail and an inquisitive spirit is essential to success in this position.
Essential Functions (including but not limited to):

  • Understanding of Medicare Part D, commercial insurance, and Medicaid
  • Adjudicating insurance claims and troubleshooting rejected claims
  • Completing and/or following-up on prior authorization forms
  • Data entry into Framework LTC and Docutrack systems
  • Providing customer service through phones, checking emails and messages to pharmacy and responding promptly and professionally

Requirements: WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Minimum of one year of experience in a pharmacy setting, preferably long term or managed care
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certified & Licensed Pharmacy Technician in Illinois
  • FrameworkLTC / DocuTrack knowledge a plus
  • Professional demeanor and appearance with excellent customer service skills
  • Exceptional oral, written, and listening skills, ability to effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail
  • Able to multi-task and work under deadlines
  • Motivated, punctual and reliable team member
