CRT RESPIRATORY CARE PRACTITIONER RRT Program Requirements:
Minimum Schedule Commitment:
CRT RCP staff will select a scheduling level in collaboration with unit management and maintain that scheduling status for a minimum period of (6) MONTHS. With unit management approval, CRT RCP staff may switch scheduling levels after meeting their current 6 month requirement. Full-time staff may transfer to CRT RCP status if there is availability and after their current position is filled.

Travel Scheduling Level
Assignments will be within one of the NorthShore University HealthSystem hospitals. Assignments may change among the System’s hospitals upon completion of each 12 week agreement. Travel RT’s are responsible to fulfill their schedules according to the needs of the assigned system hospital.

In order to be eligible for a CRT RESPIRATORY CARE PRACTITIONER RRT (CRT RCP) role, a candidate must possess all of the following:

  • Meet the education and physical requirements per the #9523 Respiratory Care Practitioner RRT job description
  • Current RRT certification
  • Current State of Illinois license
  • Current CPR certification and any other certifications required per the job description
  • Pass an employment physical examination
  • Complete new hire orientation
  • Maintain mandatory educational requirements
