Job Type: 13-Week Contract
Start Date: ASAP
Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) every other weekend
Salary: $2,268-$2,646 weekly
Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Intermediate Care Unit (IMC). As an IMC RN, you will provide exceptional care to patients who require a higher level of monitoring and intervention than a standard Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit but do not require ICU care.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and overall condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families.
- Respond to emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care.
Requirements:
- Valid West Virginia nursing license.
- Previous experience in an Intermediate Care Unit or similar setting is required.
- Strong knowledge and ability to care for patients with respiratory, cardiac, neurologic, and trauma conditions.
- Experience with endarterectomy, IR Lab, metabolic disorders, stable overdoses, and IV drips.
- ICU experience is mandatory.
- BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications are required.
- Familiarity with Pyxis, Philips CareVue, Cerner Soarian, and MAK systems.
- Completion of COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory, or can have medical/religious exemptions.
