Reports to: National Sales Manager

Work Location: Mowi-Ducktrap, LLC -Remote

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Summary

The Regional Sales position requires a leader focused on customer satisfaction and achieving short and long-term sales goals collaboratively in a team environment. Frequent travel to our home office in Belfast, Maine as well as traveling domestically to key markets. The ideal candidate has a record of proven success in the seafood or food industry.


Experience and Skill Requirements:

The following experience and skills are considered essential:

  • Excellent presentation and writing skills, as well as the ability to analyze and generate market data and sales reports.
  • Fact-based selling techniques are required.
  • Proficiency with PCs and Microsoft Office programs. Specifically Excel and PowerPoint are essential.
  • Strong analytical skills in problem-solving, building customer relationships, consultative or solutions selling, and multi-tasking.
  • Good business acumen, well-developed sense of professionalism. General understanding of the importance of P&L’s and the need to minimize expenses when possible.
  • Demonstrate sound business judgement and decision-making.
  • Ability to learn our internal systems which include but are not limited to our Qlik Sense portal.
  • Thrives in a team management environment.

Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to:

  • Acquire and maintain a detailed understanding of Ducktrap products and operations, the smoked seafood category and key industry trends.
  • Build and maintain key relationships with targeted new and existing retail and food service customers.
  • Support National Account Manager on any national accounts to include business reviews, corporate events, national sales planning and annual trade show.
  • Willing to stay updated on competitive products and distribution, while making routine visits to local retailers.
  • Develop effective promotional programs designed to build customer sales.

Education Requirements

  • BS/BA college degree preferred, sales professionals with 5+ years of relevant sales experience in the seafood or food industry are preferred.
