When the hospital is completed, NPVMC will provide the most up to date medical campus in Southeastern Wyoming. In addition to a 24-hour emergency room, NPVMC will offer advanced imaging including ultrasound, X-Ray, digital mammography, CT, Dexa Scan, and mobile MRI capabilities. The CAH features an inpatient pharmacy, laboratory services, and physical/occupational therapy. Staffed with both full time physician and mid-level providers, the hospital will provide a healthcare solution that services the community and offers convenience to medical services.

  • If hired as a Radiologic Department Supervisor you will determine, coordinate, and supervise daily staffing assignments and staffing. Will collaborate with radiologists, providers, and other staff to trouble shoot any problems while providing an improved patient care environment that will lead to an efficient flow and experience. Will provide on-call services on a rotational basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides direction, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff. Performs or assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
  • Assesses quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programs. Ensures staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels. Lead the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.

Accountabilities:

  • Performs diagnostic CT exams of the head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine and extremities. Places IVs for contrast injections. Follows protocols set by the radiologist. Receives patient, explains procedure, and creates a safe environment for the patient through good communication skills.
  • Performs diagnostic x-ray examinations including spine, extremities, head, chest, and abdomen. Follows standard positions and views prescribed by NPVMC radiologists. Assists radiologist with fluoroscopic procedures. Receives patients, explains procedures and utilizes standardized techniques, settings, and positions to accomplish acceptable results.
  • DEXA Scan. Performs bone density tests.
  • Office Duties. Performs office jobs in a small department including, but not limited to: answering phones, scheduling patients’ exams, printing reports, retrieving charts, researching problems, ordering supplies and helping radiologists and providers.
  • Responsible for QA and QC for NPVMC imaging modalities. Documents: patient exposure time to radiation, amount of contrast administered, exam performed and other information as required by state regulations.
  • Participates and leads improvement initiatives and implementation of new exam procedures. Teaches new and evolving Diagnostic technologies. Coordinates orientation and training of new associates. Ensures staff competency through proper training techniques and conducts quality audits.
  • Participates in problem solving to address issues relating to patient safety, care and service. Supports and promotes effective working relations and works effectively as part of a department/unit team and interdepartmentally to facilitate that department’s ability to meet its goals and objective. Collaborates with department leadership team to coordinate care with other departments and promote the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
  • May participate in human resource functions. May participate in the interview process and provides feedback to leadership team on candidates. Provides education/training and performance feedback for associates in the department. Participates in policy and procedure development. Presents and documents staff meetings as required.
  • Promotes mission, vision, and values of SCL Health, and abides by service behavior standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Education: Must be a graduate from an accredited Radiology Technologist program.

  • Licensed through State of Wyoming
  • Board certified through the ARRT
  • 1 year experience Radiography required
  • 1 year experience CT required
  • 3-5 years combined supervisor experience
  • Other experience such as Mammography, Ultrasound, DEXA scan a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
