Quality Technician Job at Printpack Inc

Printpack, an essential company and leading manufacturer of flexible packaging products, is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a 12-hour night shift (7pm-7am) QA Technician position on a rotating 3/2 schedule for the Films plant in Grand Prairie, TX.
Starting base salary $20.00/hr plus an additional $
2
.50/hr shift differential for hours worked between 7pm-7am.
Additional $2.50/hr shift differential for NIGHT Shift only between the hours of 7pm-7am. Any hours worked outside of 7pm-7am will not receive the shift differential.
Minimum Requirements:
-
High School Diploma or GED
-
Must be 18 years of age or older
-
Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
-
Able to work any shift
-
Must be able to pass Ishihara color test
-
Must be able to lift up to 42 pounds
-
Must be able to demonstrate how to properly measure and read a US and metric tape measure during interview.
Key Responsibilities include:

Handling Information /Following Instructions
-
Checking written/printed information
-
Ability to use a tape measure repeatedly
-
Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple priorities
-
Ability to communicate and work effectively with others
-
Accurately document and record information in PRISM
-
Accurately follow prescribed test methods and work instructions
-
Provide information to and communicate to the production departments in a timely manner
Key Duties include and are not limited to:
-
Checking quality on every master roll and alerting production crews/Leaders, in a timely manner, if an issue is found
-
Checking, as required per specification, Gas Chromatograph, WVTR, OTR, bonds (interlaminate, heat seal, cold seal), CoF, opacity, basis/total weights, cold seal weights, adhesive weights, ink weights, layer distributions
