We are currently hiring for the following shifts:

1st Shift – 4x10; Mon-Thur 10hrs; 4am start

2nd Shift – 4x10; Mon-Thur 10hrs; 2pm start

Wk Shift – 3x12; Fri-Sun 12hrs; 6am start

SUMMARY

Under the general direction of the Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Inspector is responsible for using a binocular microscope, automated optical inspection (AOI) equipment, electrical tester, and/or a variety of other automated and manual inspection equipment to conduct automated and visual inspections on parts to ensure customer expectations for quality and delivery.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
  • Perform quality control inspections using microscopes, AOI’s, E-Testers and various other quality tools.
  • Records measurement and inspection data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
  • Performs verification on incoming, in-process, and outgoing products.
  • Independently review characteristics of parts against engineering documentation to confirm overall conformance to part drawings.
  • Package conforming assemblies and components, and complete all associated quality paperwork
  • Create quality notifications within the ERP system by providing objective evidence to support rejection data and ensure the accuracy and completeness of information.
  • Support stock sweep activities to ensure accurate and comprehensive containment of suspect or nonconforming material.
  • Support kaizen activity and related continuous improvement activities, including tier accountability processes.
  • Maintains clean, organized work environment and adheres to all safety standards, procedures, and regulations.
  • Contributes to team effort in a collaborative and supportive manner.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Capable of converting between metric and standard units.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Technical Degree, preferred
  • Experience
