Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Review and set up of all 1st pc documentation to support 1st pc inspection. Includes review and prove out of engineering operation sheets for 1st time run products (green sheets).
  • Provide 1st pc inspection for all operations (CNC Milling, CNC Turning, CNC Swiss Screw Machining, CNC Wire EDM, CNC Laser Marking, Cut Off Saw, Conventional Machining, Burring, and Assembly).
  • Program and Operate CMM machines as required.
  • Support gauge control for set up of required gages during 1st pc and production inspection.
  • Provide additional support for in process inspection to monitor product quality.
  • Occasional floor inspection to monitor quality at the machines as instructed by supervisor.
  • Perform all required inspection per instructions for assigned jobs and assure parts are within specification.
  • Complete the required paperwork legibly. Workorders / travelers, Final Inspection plans / Quality documents, NCMR’s, etc.
  • Conform to Lot ID and traceability instructions.
  • Follow all required work instructions and procedures while performing your duties.
  • It is required in this role and is your responsibility to understand company policies as well as procedures and work instructions associated with your job function.
  • It is your responsibility to assure that your training record is complete and up to date.
  • This job also performs certain other related work based on requests from the immediate supervisor and/or Management in compliance with AS9100 and ISO13485 Quality Management System.

Essential Job Functions and Minimum Requirements:

Two (2) years prior Quality experience (preferably CMM) in a manufacturing environment.

Capable of reading and understanding technical drawings, of following written and verbal instructions to perform technical work.

Capable of using inspection tools (like height gauge, optical comparators, thread gauges, plug gauges, micrometers, verniers, indicators, etc.) to check customer products for adherence to specification and capable of completing inspection reports.

Capable of following FDA’S 21CF, part 820, QSR

Capable of lifting a minimum of 20 lbs. without the use of lifting devices.

Capable of moving part bins freely from one workstation to another.

Adequate vision to perform all duties (corrective lenses are acceptable).

Sufficient hearing to distinguish unusual equipment noises indicating equipment difficulties.

Capable of completing written reports regarding hours worked, jobs worked on, operations completed, inspection documents.

Capable of counting parts and correctly performing arithmetic.

Must demonstrate knowledge of basic inspection requirements such as blueprint reading and interpretation, inspection techniques, use of inspection tools, shop math, etc.
