Under the direction of the Quality Manager, the Quality Engineer assists in assuring that the products manufactured by Hydro-Thermal are machined, assembled and tested to assure that they are consistent with company quality standards and customer requirements. The position will also be responsible for development of quality systems and processes for the Hydro-Thermal organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop inspection methods to analyze product quality.
• Program and operate the Hydro-Thermal CMM.
• Assist in training employees in proper use of gages and other measurement tools.
• Lead team development and review processes.
• Assist in the evaluation of customer complaints and corrective action.
• Define, develop, and implement continuous process improvement opportunities.
• Review incoming raw materials in accordance with the manufacturing schedule.

• Highly organized individual with abilities in prioritization, time management, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Strong communication skills and experience leading a technical team
• Able lead diverse teams and work jointly across departments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret and analyze data.
• Proved ability to interpret drawings and program resulting parts in CMM software with parts/prints and with part models.

Preferred Education and/or Experience:

• B.S. in quality, industrial, or mechanical engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience in process/quality engineering fundamentals or equivalent experience.
• 10 years of quality assurance experience, or 2 years of quality leadership experience or equivalent experience.

Work Environment:

• Minimal exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, chemical vapors, metal work and loud noise
• Some physical activity including lifting up to 30 lbs, bending, and standing
