Edwards Vacuum is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Quality Engineer that can apply their quality toolbox to accurately identify issues, determine appropriate corrective action and effectively execute solutions for our product lines.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews, analyzes and reports on product quality performance related to assembly and process in order to drive improvements.
  • Leads investigation of problems and develops dispositions, modifications, and corrective actions for recurring or non-recurring discrepancies.
  • Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, product management, customers, suppliers and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met.
  • Provides guidance and evaluation of new product development to ensure robust, manufacturable, and reliable product is released to manufacturing.
  • Approves the development, modification, and maintenance of quality evaluations, control plans and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished products.
  • Manages assigned product failure analysis and report generation for internal and external customers.
  • Leads problem solving teams utilizing 8D methodology including Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) activities to drive performance improvements.
  • Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.

Requirements:

  • B.S. in a technical discipline is required.
  • 3-5 years of professional work experience.
  • Ideally, the candidate will have some knowledge of regulations and standards affecting semiconductor manufacturing related to capital equipment products. Prior copy exact experience a plus.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the application and appropriate use of statistical methods and tools (such as D.O.E, Hypothesis Testing, ANOVA, Gauge R&R, Statistical Process Control, Capability analyses etc.).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, particularly with a strong analytical ability and high level of proficiency using Microsoft Excel.
  • Must possess the ability to work independently and have the scheduling flexibility necessary to support an international contract manufacturing model.
  • Certification in Quality Engineering/Auditing/Improvement, Six Sigma, or Lean is a plus.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $113,000.00 per year
