Basic Duties / Responsibilities (not all-inclusive):
Uses predetermined methods, operations, setups, and prescribed specifications to inspect visually in-process and completed products to engineering authority such as electronic units and subsystems, machined units and fixtures, sheet metal components and subassemblies for structural flaws, internal defects, key attributes, and fastener installation to ensure the configuration is to authority.


The Inspector will be required to use various measuring devices to accept, reject, or reevaluate defective or malfunctioning units or systems. Inspectors will work from blueprints, diagrams; dial indicators, micrometers, scales, fixtures, customer specifications, drawing or inspection instructions, and checklists as applicable.

Basic Qualifications:
Must have experience/understanding of:
  • High School Diploma/GED with at least 5 years experience; associate's degree with 2+ years of related experience with certification in the assigned area preferred.
  • GD&T and CATIA experience preferred.
  • Prior quality experience in manufacturing and the ability to perform desired skill set
  • Full dimensional inspection (In-processing Inspection); Closeout / Process checks (Final Evaluation/inspection) and Manufacturing and aircraft assembly experience.
  • Must be able to demonstrate skills in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and mylars and the ability to interrogate Model Based Definitions (MBD).
  • Must demonstrate skills in the correct use of common inspection and test measurement tools.
  • Must be knowledgeable of AS9100 Quality Management System and AS9102 First Article Inspection Requirements and able to apply inspection processes.
  • Able to read and comprehend technical specifications, customer requirements, and FAA regulations as applicable
  • Must have experience with MS Office applications.
  • Must assure customer standards are maintained by ensuring that workmanship standards, specifications, and documentation requirements are met and delivered product is compliant.
  • Must be able to document nonconformance in a clear, concise, and complete defect description
  • Liaise with the Integrated Product Team (IPT) members to resolve issues
  • Submission of product and MRB documentation to the customer as required
  • Act as Liaison between CA Customer and IPT
  • Must be able to work shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.

Physical Requirements: Primarily manufacturing/assembly environment. Must be able to work in the following environmental conditions: noise, vibration, proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, and electrical current. Must be able to bend and reach. Must have close visual acuity such as viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines, and/or assembly or fabrication parts at close distance to the eyes. Must be able to communicate effectively. Must be able to maneuver up to 50 pounds. Will be performing substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
