Quality Assurance & Improvement Specialist

Quality Assurance & Improvement Specialist participates in activities related to compliance and fidelity of the DHHS licensure, HIPPA, CARF Accreditation, risk management, policy review, performance management and improvement, and strategic planning.


Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday between 32-40 hours per week

Pay:
Starting at $47,000 and based on experience


Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with the CPO, COO, HR Director, and CFO on the coordination of special projects
  • Collaborates with HR on handbook revisions and process alignment regarding CARF policies, and revisions of performance appraisal process and job description updates
  • Supports CPO/COO regarding CARF standard compliance, policy and procedure updates, strategic and annual planning
  • Tracks and completes incident reporting per DHHS guidelines and collaborates regarding programmatic and workforce compliance
  • Provides guidance and ensures process compliance with HIPAA per federal and state legislation
  • Assists with the Outcomes program across all programs
  • Assists with the collection, analysis, preparation, and presentation of outcomes data twice a year
  • Leads team and prepares quarterly reports for risk management, tracking incoming incident reports, relays issues/concerns/gaps/trends/training
  • Supports leadership during sentinel events in response and leads the reporting process
  • Supports CPO in investigating and responding to resident complaints and/or grievances


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience in mental health and/or non-profit program and/or administrative duties
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in leading programs serving adults with significant mental health challenges
  • Preferred knowledge of DHHS licensure requirements, CARF accreditation standards, and HIPPA privacy and security laws
