The Lab Quality Control Technician is responsible for obtaining samples of materials throughout the manufacturing process and testing those samples for quality parameters. Other responsibilities include analyzing data and processes for continual quality improvement.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • Quality Experience Preferred
  • Must have computer skills, including Microsoft Suite experience

Responsibilities:

  • Operating lab equipment as necessary to ensure successful testing of quality parameters. This includes but is not limited to tools such as peacock thickness gauges, calipers, rulers, scales, etc.
  • Including but not limited to thickness, color, gravity, cure, etc.
  • Ensure lab equipment is calibrated.
  • Manually record data in a correct manner to ensure accurate reports.
  • Maintain products with specified ranges and retest products that were reclaimed by Quality Control.
  • Testing, investigating, and finding solutions to correct problems in physical properties, cure rate, gravity, color, and thickness.

  • Maintain a safe and clean work area
  • Other duties as assigned

Essential Functions:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to accurately write or otherwise record information such that it is readily useable by coworkers, customers, vendors and others;
  • Ability to communicate with coworkers, customers, vendors and others.
  • Basic to above average math skills including averages, understanding formulas, different modes of measurements, and the ability to analyze data.
  • Detail oriented and able to work in team environment required.
  • Ability to work without supervision and to make appropriate decisions.
  • Ability to process work with accuracy and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work on the floor and in an office environment for an extended period of time.
  • Physical activity includes walking, lifting & carrying materials, products, and boxes, and climbing stairs
  • Ability to stoop to pick up items off of the floor.
  • Ability to move about the office, plant and grounds as necessary to deliver and receive work related materials or to meet with coworkers, customers, vendors and others.
  • Ability to work in a safe manner and appropriate manner.
  • Ability to identify color differences.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.50 per hour
