ABOUT US:

Northwest Human Services is a mission focused organization providing compassionate and professional medical, dental, psychiatry, mental health, and wraparound services for those in our community who need it most - uninsured individuals, families, the homeless, and migrant workers. Our multidisciplinary teams are fully integrated, allowing us to provide our patients with exceptional coordinated care. The leadership and Board of Directors at NWHS support our staff with a variety of training and development opportunities as we continue to expand our programs and community offerings. We strive to instill a workplace culture based on inclusivity, open communication, and positive support.

YOUR ROLE at NWHS:

We are seeking a psychiatrist interested in working within our integrated model of care. You would join our psychiatric team of four including one other psychiatrist and three psychiatric nurse practitioners. You would carry a panel of patients referred to you by your colleagues in the primary care department down the hall. Your mission would be to stabilize the patient’s psychiatric conditions and refer the patient back to primary care for ongoing maintenance. You would be supported by the team’s medical assistants, a registered nurse, and an intake coordinator. In addition, you would have the full support of the health center’s mental health department (therapists), Behavioral Health Consultants, medical records and referrals department, and the stability of working for an agency that has been serving the community for over forty years.

Our ideal candidate would have interest in training to assume the responsibilities of our current Psychiatric Services Medical Director. This includes working closely with the Clinics Operations Officer to lead the department in our ongoing integration efforts, participate in Quality Management activities, and provide clinical oversight for the psychiatric clinicians, among other things.
