What Is This Job All About?

  • Help create a welcoming atmosphere when you greet our patients.
  • Collecting appropriate information and data.
  • Verifying insurance coverage including but not limited to copay/deductible payments.
  • Collecting appropriate payments.
  • Answering phones and interoffice calls.
  • Collaborate with Psychiatric team to assist the clinicians with administrative duties allowing the team to provide quality care to patients.
  • Extension of Front Desk team to Psychiatric Department.
  • Scheduling return to office appointments.
  • Check in for telehealth appointments.
  • Working with Mental Health Providers to schedule urgent appointment requests.

What We Need from You:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2-3 years' experience in a high-volume office doing data entry and medical office management preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to use MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Spanish-speaking highly preferred.
  • Organizational skills including task prioritization and time management.
  • Excellent communication both on the phone, in person, and written.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and leverage interpersonal skills to meet the needs of patients.
  • Consistent dependability and personal initiative.
  • Detail oriented with high critical thinking skills.
  • Understanding and execution of customer service systems.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Application of HIPAA laws and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Capacity to work well independently or in a team.
  • Comfortable working in a process-oriented system.
  • De-escalation skills.
  • Athena EMR experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to demonstrate empathy in appropriate situations with Mental Health patients.
