The Provider Customer Service Team Lead is responsible for assisting the supervisor with tasks such as coaching advocates, call listening, handle escalated calls, UES call backs to providers, employee engagement activities, and point of contact in team chats for questions.

This position is full-time (40 hours/week). Employees are required to have the flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules within our normal business hours of 7:00am – 7:00pm CST.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and supervise daily/weekly/monthly activities of a team members
  • Set priorities for the team to ensure task completion and performance goals are met
  • Coordinate work activities with other supervisors, managers, departments, etc.
  • Identify and resolve operational problems using defined processes, expertise and judgment
  • Provide coaching, feedback and annual performance reviews as well as formal corrective action.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • 1+ year of supervisory / leadership experience
  • 5+ years of experience analyzing and solving customer problems in an office, claims or customer service environment
  • Ability to work any 8-hour shift schedule within our normal business hours of 7:00am – 7:00pm CST

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • Experience with Provider Service Operations, specifically Community & State (C&S) line of business

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Reside in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to multi-task including the ability to understand multiple products and multiple levels of benefits within each product

Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada or New York City Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $18.17 - $32.26. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada / New York City residents is $20.00 - $35.53.
