· Field employees work to calibrate equipment, program and automate systems, and perform instrumentation and equipment work on client sites.

· Lab employees take samples that have been collected in the field and run a multitude of tests for environmental factors and quality of the product. We also have a blending lab that works to create the chemicals that other companies use to calibrate their analytical equipment.

· The Production Analytics team audits existing field structures and design, balances our client’s entire systems, and allocates royalties to maximize profits.

SPL is expanding our footprint internationally in the production, midstream, finished products, and environmental markets. We are also focused on developing industry-leading automation and data analytics tools that will help our customers ensure the integrity of their data.

Job Summary:

The Prover Technician I must be team oriented, proactive, and goal driven. This position will prove meters at customer locations and obtain liquid samples with supervision of senior technicians.

Qualifications:

· Effective communication skills are required;

· Work experience is desired. Technician level may be influenced by relevant experience;

· Electronics and/or mechanical experience/knowledge/skills is preferred.

Responsibilities:

· Be proficient in the operations of a portable prover and all associated equipment (switches, valves, transmitters, balls, etc.);

· Obtain gas and liquid samples, both spot and composite, and transport hazardous and/or non-hazardous materials;

· Perform API gravity and S&W determinations;

· Use LACT measurement and sampling equipment;

· Know appropriate tables for the product;

· Know and comply with DOT regulations;

· Perform job duties onshore at client locations utilizing a company vehicle;

· Out of town stay is sometimes required;

· Maintain work schedule with customers and SPL. If any changes are made to the schedule, notification to the customer and the appropriate SPL office is required. On non-scheduled days, the Measurement Technician will perform assignments at the office;

· Must be able to work a flexible work schedule, i.e., eight (8) to sixteen (16) hours depending on job service requirements and customer needs;

· May be required to be part of the "On Call" program on a rotating schedule. These hours can be extended into weekends and/or holidays;

· Maintain and account for assigned SPL property. This includes tools, company vehicle, cell phone, laptop, prover unit, equipment, and parts;

· Properly prepare all necessary paperwork and documentation of service performed on a timely basis and submit same to appropriate SPL office personnel for processing;

· Other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule:

This position will work 8 hours, Monday – Friday in our Greeley, Colorado office.
