Project Specialist Job at USC

USC Los Angeles, CA

USC Dornsife Public Exchange is an initiative unlike any other at the university. Founded in 2020, the Public Exchange fast-tracks collaborations between academic researchers and the public and private sectors to define, analyze and solve complex problems together. In the past year, Public Exchange has led a range of exciting projects to address challenges in public health, climate change, and sustainability with partners including the City and County of Los Angeles, Santa Clarita Water Authority, and the United Nations Foundation.

Public Exchange seeks a Project Specialist to support the expansion of USC’s Urban Trees Initiative. The ideal candidate has a passion for environmental justice and determination to build the case for trees as essential tools for climate mitigation. This is a unique opportunity to make meaningful change in L.A.’s urban environment, improve quality of life for generations of Angelenos, and build a model for urban climate mitigation and adaptation.

The Project Specialist reports to the Urban Trees Initiative Project Manager, and will work closely with the Director of Strategy and Operations, research teams, and key stakeholders to deliver on project goals and objectives.
