The Project Manager for Greenfield deployment (Property & Projects) for Warehousing/Supply Chain will be responsible to plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of the project. This Project Manager will work closely with management to make sure that the scope and direction of each project is on schedule, as well as coordinate resources from other functional areas for support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Clear understanding of all phases of the project to allow for the development of an implementation schedule / project plan
  • Align all work streams with an integrated project plan to ensure milestones and critical path tasks are delivered
  • Integrate functional area schedules with contractor and operations schedules
  • Utilize project management tools to provide a clear and accurate schedule
  • Provide regular scheduled updates to leadership team – both project team as well as key stakeholders in the project
  • Escalate issues/risks appropriately to leadership and Project Sponsor
  • Communicate with Operations to ensure project alignment with building needs
  • Budget and change management
  • Plan and manage the transition from Project team to operations for steady state
  • Hold vendors accountable to schedule and scope deliverables

SKILLS & ABILITIES


Education & Experience:

  • Four-year degree is basic requirement (Management, Engineering, Operations Preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years of Project Management experience
  • Minimum of 2 years Logistics/Warehousing Industry experience

Computer Skills:

  • Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project & Visio
  • AutoCAD is a plus
  • Knowledge of WMS functionality

Certificates & Licenses: NA


Language Skills:

  • English (reading, writing, verbal), Spanish a plus
  • Interpersonal communication and language skills (e.g., listening to others, speaking to others, reading, writing).
  • Communication (facilitation skills and very mature communication skills to be able to communicate to all levels in the organization).

Mathematical Skills

  • Good mathematical skills

Other Skills:

  • E-commerce experience including starting up small to large volume solutions
  • Experience in multiple warehouse automation applications (Pick to Light, Automated Sortation, Voice Pick, conveyor design, AMR, etc.)
  • PMP, Formal Project Management Training
  • Project Management Experience in 3PL environment
  • Experience dealing with all levels of operational and client staff, vendors and clients
  • Experience in 3PL environment – operations, engineering
  • Other duties as assigned by management to support special projects, implementations, process improvements, etc.
  • Position may require frequent travel - domestic and international (up to 50%)

Typically warehouse work environment but could include manufacturing and transportation locations
