The mission of the Institute for Shelter Care is to equip shelter providers to service victims of exploitation through research, training, tools, and community.

POSITION SUMMARY:

One of the primary initiatives of the Institute for Shelter Care is to implement the national case management system (NCMS) across trafficking shelters nationwide and position this tool as responsive to the needs of shelters and vital to collecting national data. The NCMS Project manager reports to the Director of Research.

  • Oversee the creation of training and documentation to support usability of the tool.
  • Support the promotion of this tool, in coordination with the Communications department, to encourage other shelters to adopt it.
  • Oversee the creation of a User Advisory Group comprised of staff within shelters using the NCMS. This group will be engaged to chart the future development of the tool in response to shelters’ changing needs.
  • The Project Manager may occasionally travel to shelter sites or host virtual forums to obtain feedback from users.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience implementing database tools, including the formulation of business strategy, communications plan, roll-out plan, training, evaluation, and reporting.
