Project Engineer - Water/Wastewater

We have an opportunity for a self-motivated Civil/Environmental Project Engineer to join our growing team in our Tampa, FL office.

We specialize in the conveyance and treatment of water, wastewater, recycled water and stormwater and deliver exceptional service and highly qualified professional staff to solve the unique challenges that our clients face through innovative engineering and scientific solutions.


We are looking for an ambitious achiever to join our team and support our clients’ growing project needs.


What you’ll be doing:

You will use your experience with evaluation, design, and construction of facilities relating to water, wastewater, recycled water, utility infrastructure, conveyance and process modifications to provide environmental and civil engineering consulting services to the firm’s municipal and industrial sector clients. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams, oftentimes across regional offices, using your excellent communication skills. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and help grow our business. Travel to clients, project sites and other Kennedy Jenks offices will be necessary.

Qualifications:

  • BS or MS in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or similar engineering field
  • 3+ years of related engineering design experience
  • Florida PE license, or ability to obtain within one year
  • Technical writing skills
  • Eagerness to learn and grow professionally
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to take responsibility for leading projects and teams
  • Team player
  • Ability to travel
