Overview

The Project Coordinator position will directly support the John F. Kennedy Airport Redevelopment Program (JFKR), which is a historic plan to redevelop and transform JFK Airport into a modern 21st-century airport.

Essential Responsibilities

• Serve as the project liaison with airport stakeholders on behalf of the development team.
• Risk Identification, assessment, and mitigation efforts for safe and efficient operations during development.
• Provides leadership in key airport operations performance parameter monitoring and reporting.
• Coordinate work efforts and contribute effectively to teamwork.
• Oversees project coordination efforts with stakeholders and internal team members in a complex matrixed organization.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Architecture/Management.
• 5 to 7 years of relevant experience
• Expert user of Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, Power Point.
• Ability to use program information management systems and financial systems

Primary Focus will include

• Oversight of stakeholder coordination process led by Terminal Developers in compliance with operational guidelines, best practices and directives
• Ability to drive required outcomes from stakeholder interaction, meeting complex and aggressive scope, schedule, and budget constraints for major capital programs.
• Review and coordination of Contract document submittals.
• Tracking, monitoring, and reporting on project delivery, progress, and interdependencies with stakeholders.
• Strong project coordination/communications skills.
• Work closely with Airport Stakeholders including operations, airlines, and air train operations on a daily/hourly basis.
• Close coordination on airport operation parameters for passenger services and operational effectiveness for development impacts.
• Reporting on issues, risks, interdependencies, and progress on all aspects pertinent to airport operations.
• Monitor/Track risk mitigation plans and subsequent efforts by all parties engaged.

• BIM/CAD abilities
