Cardno GS, Inc. seeks a Project Control Analyst in our Charlottesville, Virginia office to play in an integral part in our growing Project Controls practice.
Job Description:
Job Summary
  • Provide primary support to Project Managers during the setup, modification, execution, monitoring and controlling, and closeout of projects
  • Be the primary liaison between Project Managers and Accounting and Contracts for project administrative activities
  • Represent Project Controls and routinely interact with Project Controls Manager, GS management, Business Unit Managers, Office Managers, Project Managers, Accounting and Contracts personnel
  • Help Project Managers with Project Profit Plan (PPP) development, modification and management
  • Monitor project performance and help the Project Manager identify budget or schedule problems as early during project execution as possible so they are reported and corrective actions can be taken if needed
  • Help evaluate and improve Project Controls processes to make them more user friendly, efficient and streamlined
  • Subcontract payables: Receive, process and track subcontract payments as well as remaining subcontract commitments
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Other Requirements
  • Ability to exercise professional discretion and judgment
  • Five years of experience including financial data analysis or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Economics, or Finance, or related discipline
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel and other MS Office product skills, familiarity with SharePoint
  • Excellent attention to detail skills
  • Ability and desire to identify anomalies and investigate causes
  • Excellent technical writing, oral communication, and computer skills
  • Customer service demeanor
  • Ability to work in a remote team environment
  • Proven ability to interface with people in all levels of the organization
  • Experience with monthly project cost tracking
  • Analytical individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to write clearly and concisely
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently
