Rapid Overdose Response System (RORS) Director

Families Against Narcotics is seeking a Program Director for a project titled “Rapid Overdose Response Systems”

The Rapid Overdose Response System (RORS) Director provides oversight of The Rapid Overdose Response System initiatives. The Rapid Overdose Response System (RORS) Director will develop, update, and provide protocols, direction, and guidance in implementing current and future program changes. The RORS Director will track appropriate measures for program evaluation and grant reporting, including ERA entries.

Duties will include:

● Acts as lead coordinator and manager for the Rapid Overdose Response Systems and is the main point of contact for the program.

● Oversees staffing, training, reporting, data analysis, and fiscal monitoring.

● Works with other agencies to ensure coordination of Rapid Overdose Response Systems

● Represents the program at high-level meetings within the community and at state leadership meetings.

● Coordinates data collection activities and reviews data form submissions for accuracy.

● Oversee and direct all prescription drug education and training.

● Develop opportunities for training, and deploy staff based on data analysis.

● Function as a manager and liaison in relation to the Policy & Infrastructure Committee and how it interfaces with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services

● Performs all other duties and projects as assigned.

● Demonstrates safe work practices and attitudes, follows safety rules, works to prevent unsafe conditions and behaviors, and participates in organizational and department safety programs.

● Oversees documentation and service delivery

● Develop, update, and provide protocols, direction, and guidance in implementing Rapid Overdose Response Systems

● Track appropriate measures for program evaluation and reporting

● Work with Creative Director to update marketing materials throughout the program

● Identify nationwide best practices and research the feasibility of implementation through Rapid Overdose Response Systems

● Oversee Rapid Overdose Response Systems Training throughout the state

● Refine programs protocols and play the lead role in planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing projects.

● Oversee specific tasks or duties team members are expected to complete as a function of their roles

● Assist in presentations

● Remain knowledgeable about all FAN programs and national trends

● Represent FAN in a professional manner while performing duties

● Provide detailed time and expense sheets (including receipts) monthly

● Other duties as assigned

Minimum Knowledge and Education:

  • MS degree in social work, administration or human services or related field

Minimum Work Experience:

  • 7 years’ combined work and volunteer experience in a community education and training.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Starting at $60,000.00 up to $70,000.00 based one experience.

Qualifications:

▪ Organized and efficient in effectively managing multiple projects

▪ Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel

▪ Knowledge of Google products such as Drive, Gmail and Calendar

▪ Valid Michigan’s Driver’s license and proof of insurance

▪ Successful completion of a background check

▪ Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.

▪ Ability to lift to 25 lbs., and sit, stand, bend, climb, lift, carry and/or reach frequently and for extended periods of time.

▪ Knowledge of opiate abuse prevention

▪ Articulate and approachable

Performance reviews every 6 months.

Position is for 40 hours per week. Benefit package. Pay is annual salary of $60,000.00 - $70,000.00

Travel & Reimbursement- Reimbursement of mileage at the current standard mileage rates

This position is grant-funded and subject to the funding, budget and timelines within grant provisions.
