Summary/Objective:
The Program Manager provides oversight and management of the JFRH program’s daily operations. This position is responsible for the operational functions of the program, in collaboration with and reporting to the Clinical Director. This position ensures the program operates in accordance with BSAS, Joint Commission and Dimock standards at all times. The program manager is responsible to identify environmental/facility needs to ensure a clean program in good state of repair at all times.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversees the daily operations of the program (2 buildings) and reports to the program director. Operates program in a culturally competent manner.
  • Ensures a calm, therapeutic and trauma-informed environment.
  • Orders supplies and food and maintains inventory.
  • Participates in staff recruitment, hiring, development and evaluation. Assists with onboarding new staff, ensuring that they are set up with equipment, office space, etc.
  • Oversees the 24/7 coverage of recovery specialist staff, including shifts as needed.
  • Provides supervision to recovery specialist staff.
  • Ensures safety for staff and clients and manages safety functions e.g. bed checks, fire drills, and overall environmental/physical plant issues.
  • Covers the program director role in their absence. Works collaboratively with the clinical director.
  • Provides staff trainings on medication supervision, bed checks and other functions of the recovery specialist role.
  • Ensures that the program staff are knowledgeable and practice HIPAA compliance and adhere to federal and state confidential laws.
  • Signs recovery specialists’ timesheets and approves time off under the direction of the program director.
  • Ensures compliance with Dimock Human Resources policies.
  • Conducts regular inventory of supplies, facility needs, and food; completes timely and accurate ordering.
  • Addresses pertinent patient satisfaction concerns and assists with incident management.
  • Plans, directs, monitors, and evaluates daily programming to ensure that the program provides high quality and cost-effective patient care and services.
  • Participates in the development, implementation and monitoring of quality improvement.
  • Supervises daily staffing schedule; ensures that the program is covered for 24 hours with staffing, on-call scheduling related issues.
  • Monitors and ensures program’s adherence to internal policies and procedure.
  • Maintains and submits reports as required by Dimock and regulatory agencies.
  • Ensures all staff receive a thorough and comprehensive onboarding plan and continuous training.
  • Works collaboratively Dimock’s other services to ensure clients receive an integrated continuum of care.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment
Clinical Residential Setting.

Physical Demands

Will require the ability to lift up to 35 pounds. Must be able to sit and walk for long periods of time.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Varies. Some evenings and weekends may be required.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in human services or related field required, with at least one year of supervisory experience.
  • One to three years of supervisory experience in a residential/inpatient setting preferred.
