The Associate assists with the administrative duties of the Adult Education and Career Skills team within the Community and Workforce Education division for the College. The Associate handles the day-to-day management, tracking, and reporting of data and performance outcomes. This position provides departmental support with a variety of administrative responsibilities including but not limited to: the coordination of scholarship/grant awards to students, onboarding new staff, quality assurance, and data-gathering activities. The Associate develops assessment and reporting procedures and policies.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS :

1. Oversees the area’s management, tracking, and reporting of SNAP Employment & Training, Gap, and Integrated Education and Training (IET) data related to Nebraska Department of Education requirements and other entities, as necessary.
2. Assists in maintaining communication with students, staff, and instructors in various college areas; including dissemination of information regarding events, training programs, courses, etc. and responding to inquiries.
3. Works with Community and Workforce Education Division and other college departments to promote Integrated Education and Training credit and noncredit learning pathways
4. Works closely with staff to review program and student applications, forms, and verification documents to verify completeness and initial and ongoing eligibility.
5. Assists Community and Workforce Innovation Education staff in coordination and execution of student registration, student accounts, applications databases, course creation, etc. using Aceware, Colleague, Salesforce, LACES, and other programs determined by MCC
6. Represents the Community and Workforce Education division at College sponsored, campus-wide events and external events
7. Assists Director and program staff with the development of assessment and reporting procedures and policies
8. Creates purchase requisitions, invoices, and coordinates with MCC departments on invoicing and billing.
9. Assists in presenting at and participating in departmental staff meetings, trainings, committees, etc.
10. Assists staff members with various projects as needed
11. Creates, maintains, and prepares student, community, and business outreach, program, and information session material
12. Assists in facilitating the department’s new employee hiring and onboarding processes; including but not limited to interview scheduling, technology activation, technology check out, ordering business cards and employee name tags
13. Attend work activities or programs as scheduled or assigned.

9. Ability to occasionally exert up to 20 pounds of force to lift, push, carry, pull or otherwise move objects.
10. Knowledge of multi-cultural differences and challenges and ability to effectively work and interact with various cultures.

Required Qualification
Associate’s degree in communications, education, information technology, human services, or related field plus two years of administrative support, computer expertise, or other related work experience.

Equivalent combination of education and/or related work experience considered.
Preferred Qualifications
Background in adult education.
Physical Demands
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Salary/Hourly Rate $21.30 minimum Shift Differential N/A
