The Program Assistant for the Jefferson College of Life Sciences Program will work in closely with the Program Director to ensure optimal functionality of the Program and that its goals are met.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assist with oversight of Teaching Assistant team.
• Maintain student attendance log and address any attendance situations.
• Provide assistance in liaising between parents/guardians.
• Assist with clerical tasks related to the program (i.e., communication emails, drafting announcements, etc.).
• Provide individualized instruction, guidance, and assistance to the “break-out group" you are assigned to once students break into groups to perform their laboratory activities or group activities for the given instructional session.
• Mentor students and provide guidance and support for student research projects.

EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Prior professional work experience required. Experience in an educational setting required.
