Responsibilities:
- Maintain operation of designated line.
- Be able to supervise Helpers on line and be responsible for their actions.
- Ability to take ownership of the line when it is down and be responsible for getting the line back up and running under normal running conditions.
- Ability to train their helpers to perform properly in accordance with the helper’s responsibilities.
- Responsible for following safety rules, such as wearing safety gloves, steel-toed shoes, hearing protection and safety glasses in assigned areas and the appropriate safety procedures that apply. A technician is also responsible for the enforcement of safety rules to the helper.
- Responsible for clean ups and daily clean up that is due by the end of the shift.
- Ability to do all technician paperwork, key information into the computer system, and be responsible for all products run on the line.
- Ability to understand the process and operation of the equipment.
- Drive forklift as needed to move skids and/or supplies in a safe manner.
- Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
- Prefer at least 1 year as an Apprentice Technician or approval from upper management.
- Possess basic computer/typing skills.
- Ability to understand/communicate English in oral and written form.
- Ability to lift up to 65 lbs.
- Ability and willingness to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
- Complete recipe training.
- Basic supervisory skills.
- Problem solving skills.
- Ability to pass a drug test.
