JOB OVERVIEW:

The primary role of the Production Specialist is to assist the Production Supervisor in the efficient operation of the department with a focus on safety, quality, reliability and productivity.

PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Actively support and participate in the company’s safety and health program.
• Oversee departmental activities per standard operating procedures.

• Work with Line Supervisor in the assignment and supervision of personnel in order to achieve an efficient operation at all times
• Become an expert in all positions in order to train and fill-in as needed.
• Understand the products we use and how to locate and stage in a way to maximize productivity.
• Be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Process driven with a focus on continuous improvement.

• Assists workers in analyzing and correcting problems encountered in job assignments in order to perform work according to standard operating procedures.
• Support associates in understanding company policies and practices.
• Other tasks as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Lifting in excess of 50 pounds
• Standing/walking 10 - 12 hours per day
