Welspun has immediate opening for a Shift Supervisor – Forming and Finishing.

Welspun’s Little Rock facilities are state-of-the-art and one of its kind in technology for producing pipes for the oil and gas industry. The HFW mill is a fully automatic and integrated mill capable of producing pipes ranging in diameter 6 5/8th inches to 20” and wall thickness from 0.158” to 0.551”.

Job Summary: Responsible for effective execution of production plan, optimizing waste, productivity, production delays, process monitoring, machine condition monitoring and preventive maintenance. Responsible for maintaining forming quality and welding quality of pipe.

Ideal Candidate will have the following Skills:

· Ensure coil loading sequence based on coil weight, width etc. to achieve optimum utilization of steel.

· Follow planning for size change over, set values for pipe forming, welding, edge milling and quality with minimum waste.

· Ensure production targets are achieved; in case of down time, support maintenance.

· Monitor daily quality and productivity related to process parameters in order to achieve optimum results.

· Monitor control pulpit operation.

· Effective utilization of direct variable and semi variable consumption monitoring and controlling.

· Improve the quality of product, process and system by imparting related knowledge to staff and workmen.

· Achieve production targets, analyzing quality related issues; implementing preventive and corrective action in consultation.

· Successful implementation of quality system, OSHA safety standards, and SAP systems.

· Monitor performance related to safety, quality, traceability, productivity, downtime, waste, etc.

· Monitor operation, maintenance, development and modification of projects.

· Preventive maintenance planning and execution.

· Implement and maintain quality management system in the area

· Train operators for smooth functioning of equipment.

· Ensure the safety of employees by creating safety awareness.

· Manpower management, work assignment, discipline monitoring

· Other duties as arise

Salary based on experience.

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 2 to 5 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
