Scope of Position


Oversees the end-to-end supply chain operations (shipping, tracking, storage, picking, packing, replenish, cycle counting, dock management, and issue) to meet customer and Corning requirements


Key Responsibilities


  • Plan and coordinate materials from manufacturing facility to end location to ensure order accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure materials meet project due dates
  • Monitors inventory levels and strategies to maintain optimum stocking levels to maximize inventory turns & efficiencies while meeting customer demand
  • Coordinates with shipping department for shipment to job site or warehouse
  • Tracks shipments, ensure material quantities match paperwork and system information
  • Communicates any issues with shipments or receipt of material
  • Coordinates with project management on job issuing and material status
  • Responsible for root cause and solving shipping issues or discrepancies
  • On site point of contact for inventory and transportation issues, questions, and concerns
  • Manage stocking levels and ensure the plan for every part is defined and executed
  • Respond appropriately to rectify instances of material shortages.
  • Develops and maintains process to identify time sensitive items and ensure availability.

• Troubleshoot inventory variances through paperwork audits and floor production audits • Maintains integrity of the physical inventory by location.

  • Responsible for year-end physical inventory counts as well as daily/weekly/monthly cycle counts.

Required Education & Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
  • 2+ years of Logistics Management, ERP Systems (Planning, Inventory Management, and Warehousing) and Manufacturing experience.

Required Qualifications


  • Thorough knowledge of ERP systems, production planning procedures, material procurement, and Supply Chain processes.
  • Results oriented and forward looking.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem resolution skills and ability to coordinate multi-discipline activities.
  • Ability to work independently and a true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment including ability to act as a team leader when required.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple deadline-based tasks/projects concurrently and be adaptable to change.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • SAP system knowledge.
  • Practical Project Management knowledge and applied experience.
  • Data-based decision-making skills with the ability to use data in actively finding solutions.
  • Self-starter: ability to drive things to closure.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with peers.
