Job Description
CVG produces innovative cab structures, sleeper boxes, body panels and structural components for the global heavy truck, construction, agriculture and specialty vehicle industries. Services also include partnering with original equipment manufacturers on project management, prototyping and manufacturing.

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for utilizing equipment to consistently produce a quality product in an efficient manner and responsible for:

  • Sustain 5S, lean manufacturing philosophy and culture
  • Adherence to established safety policies, procedures and practices
  • Supports the organization's efforts toward continuous improvement
  • Supports the organization's goals and values
  • Demonstrates teamwork by collaborating with others to improve overall standards of performance, service, safely and quality
  • Provides good customer service to all customers, both internal and external
  • Set up and perform simple and complex assembly/fabrication operations on bench, floor fixture, or progressive line while maintaining the cycle time.
  • Perform and document tasks as outlined in the process work instruction sheets
  • Operate hand and/or power tools
  • Perform inspection as outlined in the Inspection Instruction sheets
  • Operate manual production equipment consisting of spot welders, mig, welders, gas welders, plasma-cutters, sealer flow guns, spray guns, sanders, grinders appropriate for assigned areas
  • Use various measurement tools
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Team Leader, Facilitator and/or Manager
  • Clean work area
  • Mig Weld experience, a plus
  • Metal finish experience a plus
  • Ability to multitask is critical
  • Ability to learn quickly, multiple jobs and become proficient in each
  • Analyze, audit and inspect work area looking for opportunities for improvement
  • Cooperate with leaders, facilitator, and managers and communicate in a positive manner

CVG-Kings Mountain offers: $1000 sign-on bonuses, $19.58 starting pay, $50 a week attendance bonus and scheduled, merit based, pay increases.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Prior assembly work (preferably automotive related)
  • Basic understanding of math and measuring.
  • Use of powered hand tools.
  • Must be able to read blueprints and schematics
  • Must work well under performance-oriented, goal-driven production line operation
  • Able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.
  • Be consistently at work and on time.
