REPORTS TO: Production Manager

JOB PURPOSE: The Production Improvement Analyst is responsible for improving the manufacturing process, quality, methods, safety, environment, flexibility, and productivity of existing equipment and developing and optimizing reliable manufacturing processes relating to new and existing products.

AUTHORITY: All employees have the authority to stop operations/production for the following three reasons: 1) a quality defect, 2) an unsafe act, or 3) a health hazard.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Support other departments by collecting, analyzing, and presenting data necessary for decision-making.

· Offer technical assistance and advice to production and supports production training programs.

· Evaluate and improve processes currently in production

· Help improve process capability and improve quality rates and KPIs.

· Evaluate current processes and product designs for improving efficiency and yields.

· Troubleshoot and resolve process issues.

· Provide daily production support and develop new production processes.

· Lead efforts to improve plant productivity, reduce cycle time, reduce scrap and rework costs, and lower overall costs.

· Responsible for conducting analysis on cycle times and leading improvements

· Must have working knowledge of the Core Tools used to support the Quality Management system, including but not limited to, problem solving, and continuous improvement activities.

· Develop and review processes to minimize environmental impacts.

· Maintains files and documentation as necessary

· Auditing documentation for departments as necessary

· Data entry into systems and spreadsheets

· Updates and distributes daily reports to senior management including graphs, charts, and PowerPoint presentations

· Must be proficient in Microsoft office.

· Must have high level of interpersonal and statistical analysis skills

· Must be comfortable communicating with and training both in a one-on-one setting and with large groups of people

· Must be willing to work flexible hours as needed to meet production needs (off-shifts, weekends.)

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Ability to troubleshoot and maintain manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong understanding/experience with statistical analysis
  • Proven track record of process improvements.

Desired:

  • Five or more years manufacturing experience relating to rubber/plastic injection products
  • Possess knowledge of injection molding machines
  • Possess knowledge of rubber injection molding process
  • Possess knowledge of six sigma concepts and/or lean manufacturing techniques

Language Skills

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
