How You’ll Make an Impact

The Production Assistant is the primary contact for export business/kitting activity at La Porte and works with all business partners to ensure the timely and accurate shipments of export orders.
In the role, you would be responsible for:

• Driving the export program at the Valvoline La Porte warehouse. Primary contact for all export order processing functions.
• Managing IWP, printing of export orders, export order changes and closing out all shipping container paperwork.
• Working closely with material handlers on all shifts to ensure containers are loaded on time and accurately.
• Working with CSR in Lexington to manage export process.
• Participating in conference calls, as needed, to maintain good communication with export team in Lexington.
• Supporting manager and other team members by solving problems, researching information, scanning, faxing, filing, etc., as requested, and working on special projects as needed.
• Developing and updating monthly reports for tracking performance and reviewing with facility personnel.

What You'll Need

• Associate's Degree or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of two years' experience in a Distribution Center
• Ability to sit, stand, walk for long periods
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
