The Procurement Planner is responsible for planning and determining the timing and amounts of purchase orders to produce inline SKUs. This role oversees the production of a product from early Purchase Order (PO) placement through manufacturing and finally through product distribution to ensure service level as per target.

What You’ll Do:

• Determine needs and timelines of PO placement to schedule production and deliveries of components, which directly impacts budget and success of replenishment (based on MRP).
• Identify MRP system errors and troubleshoot errors to determine root cause. Work with Inventory Team to have errors corrected.
• Manage in full autonomy end-to-end the relationship with suppliers and subcontractors for their products, and plan production of products (weekly conference, maintenance of key reports including open order tracking, components arrival, forecast of production, assess OTIF, follow-up, and lead-time)
• Negotiate with vendors regarding timing of deliveries and purchase order size to meet deadlines, inventory requirements, budgetary considerations, and ensure best pricing.
• Proactively identify potential late shipments and determine when to expedite deliveries, including through negotiation with vendors, as needed.
• Coordinate and plan with Production and Procurement teams to ensure on-time deliveries of SUFs / samples.
• Partner with inventory team to ensure system inventory and physical inventory are accurate and identify inventory discrepancies if any. Perform key suppliers’ inventory counting.

Qualifications:

• Work closely with 10+ vendors/suppliers for replenishment
• Oversee 30+ inline SKUs annually
• Produce 7M+ units annually
• Place POs with a purchase volume scope of at least $20M USD per year
