The Process Improvement Engineer is a champion for operational excellence and an expert in equipment and processes.

This person works with plant leadership to review production costs and product quality, and makes recommendations to modify production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitability of plant. In this position, you use a variety of process improvement tactics, including lean manufacturing, Six Sigma methodology, and Kaizen. Your job is to collect data and analyze current operating procedures to determine which continuous improvement process technique is the best for our situation. Part of this process includes interacting with the production plant team members as well as plant management.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Project work and data analysis to aid in process improvement or cost reduction

· Determine the best options for process improvement tactics

· Train employees on new manufacturing practices

· Analyze output under new practices

· Promote efficiency and safety in the plant

· Assist in process improvement in the areas of production, waste, and quality

· Complete Time Studies and Work Measurement Studies as assigned

· Lead Waste efforts across plant

· Work with customers and suppliers to communicate problems and develop practices for improved performance

· Collaborate with leaders between both plants and at the Home Office

Requirements and Qualifications

·* Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or similar field*

· Six Sigma Black Belt certification (preferred)

· Manufacturing engineering experience

· Analytical skills

· Food and Beverage experience (preferred)

· Ability to read, analyze, manipulate, and interpret complex data sets and solve complex problems

· Communicates, both verbally and in writing, with people at various levels of the company in a clear and concise manner

· Demonstrates understanding of financial performance metrics and tools

· Demonstrates good organizational and time-management skills

· Knowledgeable of Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
