Summary
The process engineer will work on Operations Engineering team and will assist the quality team on solving corrective actions. Will also assist the production team in all their continuous improvement projects.
  • Drive consistency and timely implementation of all Lean improvement activities
  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend improvements in the operational process
  • Provides support to CARs created by the quality team
  • Performs process validation and maintains the required documentation
  • Develop, and implement training material and SOPs and WI as needed
  • Responsible for the analyzing efficiency of operations
  • Participate in project teams to achieve defined objective and deliverables
  • Key enabler of strategy deployment: Kaizen events, Fishbone diagrams, DMAIC, Root Cause analysis, 5S and other lean concepts
  • Organize and lead lean events to focus on eliminating waste in both product and process design. This includes controlling labor costs, safety/ergonomics, and material flow.
  • Develop value stream maps for the organization and eliminate process waste through implementation of lean techniques.
  • workshops, Kaizen Promotion Office (KPO) creation, etc.
  • Coach and teach warehouse support staff, including front line leaders and team leaders
  • Facilitate day-to-day activities for KPO.
  • Track progress of projects to ensure timely completion.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

Evaluation of performance Performances will be evaluated by your manager on an annual basis, which are in-line with Langham policies and procedures

Performance metrics # SPO's / WI created, # of processes improved, # share ideas implemented, # of CARs resolved in a timely manner. # of Kaizen events held

  • Competent in current Good Engineering Practices

Experience, education, degrees, licenses

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field or 4 years of equivalent experience
  • 2 years of experience working within a Distribution environment in roles of increasing responsibility and influence.
  • Experience in Life Sciences preferred
  • ASTM International knowledge
  • CSSGB Preferred
