Spray-Tek is an industry leader providing custom spray drying services to leading companies in the world's most quality-conscious industries. In face of new projects and acquisitions, we are searching for a Process Engineer to join our team to support our Middlesex, NJ facility.

Role: Process Engineer (Full-Time

Position Summary:
The Process Engineer (PE) provides technical expertise to new customer projects as well as the company’s existing spray drying operations. The PE is expected to be a self-motivated, focused, creative, flexible individual with a positive approach. This individual must be able to lead by example and inspire his/her team to excel and go the extra mile to make things happen in order to deliver on commitments. The PE will be expected to achieve specific, mutually agreed upon group and individual goals while operating in a team environment.

The PE is expected to contribute to the overall success and growth of the company. This includes participation in strategic and tactical planning, goal setting, policy development and implementation, and other management level activities. The PE is expected to be a team player and actively strive to build effective working relationships based on mutual respect and trust with fellow managers and other employees. This position carries a high level of autonomy and accountability.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and test new products as well as make the transition from a development stage to commercial product status.
• Provide technical knowledge, expertise, and leadership for the resolution of plant issues and in making process improvements.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime, increase throughput, and improve the processes in the plant.
• Develop metrics to improve the plant’s process efficiency.
• Assist in developing and recommending to senior management long-term manufacturing strategies to meet the changing needs of the company.
• Maintain “World Class” level of service to our new and existing customers measured by customer satisfaction surveys.
• Work on the plant floor with specialists, supervisors, and other plant personnel to trouble-shoot complex technical problems in the plant.
• Work with Technical Operations Team to troubleshoot formulas and help with investigations related to formulas/products.
• Lead the design and execution of capital projects in the plant.
• Assist with selecting equipment, specifications, documentation, procuring of equipment, and help coordinate installation and start-up activities for systems and equipment.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering or a Science related field.
• Minimum 6 years of food/pharma related manufacturing experience.
• Prior experience working in an FDA/GMP regulated environment.
