Title: PRN Clinical Dietitian

Location : Mt. Edgecumbe Medical Center

Aramark Healthcare+ is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to join our dynamic and compassionate healthcare team as a PRN Clinical Dietitian at Mt. Edgecumbe Medical Center in Sitka, AK.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment, providing top-notch care to a diverse patient population. The Clinical Dietitian will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement personalized nutrition plans for patients.

This role will work a PRN or as-needed schedule.

About the Hospital:

Mt. Edgecumbe Medical Center (MEMC) is an acute, specialty, primary- and behavioral-health provider committed to delivering comprehensive medical services to anyone living, working, or visiting Southeast Alaska.

MEMC is also a 25-bed critical access hospital with a broad range of medical specialties and primary care services (in close partnership with Alaska’s other health facilities) to support a comprehensive spectrum of healthcare and related services.

The Emergency Department at MEMC is a Level IV Trauma Center staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week by board-certified physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and registered nurses who specialize in care for patients with serious illnesses and injuries

Job Responsibilities

• Assess patient's nutritional status and develop individualized nutrition plans based on their medical history, current health status, and specific needs

• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on proper nutrition, healthy eating habits, and lifestyle changes

• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement clinical protocols and best practices for nutrition care

• Monitor patients' progress and make modifications to their nutrition plans as needed

• Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in the field of clinical nutrition

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or a related field

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) certification or the ability to obtain within 6 months

• Licensed Dietitian status in Alaska or the ability to obtain within 6 months

• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Passion for improving patient outcomes through high-quality nutrition care.

• Conditions of employment may or may not include busy hospital and outpatient settings, from patient rooms/floors to kitchen/serving areas.
