Currently, MPG is seeking to hire experienced Press Helpers for our location at 9301 Globe Center Dr, Morrisville, NC 27560. If you possess the required skills and experience as outlined below, please submit your resume for consideration.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain the feeder end of multi-color offset press while maintaining near maximum press running speeds constantly.
• Review and understand job specifications in order to locate correct job stocks, identifying felt/wire side of material, grain, weights, different foils, Gripper/Guide edge and other stock characteristics to insure 100% accuracy of product entering the press.
• Understand ink characteristics including UV conventional, pms and spot colors among others to insure proper ink well product at all times.
• Assist press wash-ups, blanket mounting, plate mounting and other pressman assigned duties.
• Maintain a safe environment for personnel and machinery, while following all company safety manuals and company safety procedures and initiatives.
• Keeping a clean machine, and work area with good basic knowledge of lubrication and press maintenance.
• Ability to understand refractometers, torque wrenches, micrometers, conductivity meters and other basic press tools while using them to maintain perfect press chemistry, measuring stocks, packing and blankets, and torquing blankets

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Good comprehension skills and ability to understand with minimal training somewhat complicated press, material, and print characteristics.
• Ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and /or 10 to 25 pounds frequently.
• Ability to stand and perform the requirements of the position up to 12 hours with a few short breaks.
• Ability to utilize press micrometers, refractometers, torque wrenches, and basic press tools efficiently.
• Willingness to abide by all plant practices and procedures.
• Overtime is an expected requirement.
• Ability to maintain great attendance and tardy record.
