About the role

As a Practice Support Analyst II, you will be responsible for providing a superior level of both technical and consultative support in the areas of litigation and transactional matters that are supported by the Practice Support Services (PSS) group within the Technology department. Other key responsibilities include:


  • Consulting and assisting attorneys, paralegals and staff with hardcopy and electronic discovery projects and overall litigation services such as data processing, exhibit and case management, productions, depositions, and trial presentations
  • Designing, testing, and building new processing automation scripts for the team to follow during their daily project work
  • Consulting directly with the Project Manager to ensure that client or firm data is collected in a manner conducive to processing, while providing guidance for exceptions and non-standard file types
  • Recommending and, upon approval, implementing protocols and best practices to department leadership in the areas of data processing, automation of tasks, database standards, project ticket templates, and other data management tasks
  • Understanding and following current protocols and best practices in the areas of electronically stored information (ESI) processing, technology assisted review (TAR), and production
  • Providing training and support to attorneys, paralegals, staff, clients, and external users on document review databases, as well as the firm’s practice support software and tools (e.g. Nuix Discover, Nuix Workstation, Nuix Discover, Nuix Investigate, Rampiva, EverChron, Opus2, etc.)
  • Providing support to project managers and members of case teams for database uploads, search queries, e-mail threading, document review database analytics, creation of custom tags, review batches, data overlays, exports, batch-printing, and reports

About you

We’d love to hear from you if you:


  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of e-discovery and the e-discovery reference model (EDRM)
  • Possess strong project management and consulting skills, with an emphasis on directly supporting teams of attorneys and support staf
  • Display an expert level of knowledge of databases and document review platforms such as Eclipse, Relativity, Nuix Discover, and other tools used for document review and production
  • Possess operational knowledge of and proficiency with at least one e-discovery (EDD) processing tool, such as eCapture, Nuix Workstation, Brainspace, and Relativity
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of database technology, including field types, analytics, indexing, and custom queries
  • Possess knowledge of and proficiency in the use of batch files and/or custom scripts for the management and manipulation of files and data
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and proficiency in standard PC applications, including Windows 10 and Microsoft Office, as well as firm-specific software, such as iManage, and ServiceNow

And have:

  • An Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s degree; A minimum of six (6) years relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • A minimum of five (5) years technical experience, preferably in a Legal environment or at a vendor specializing in providing legal technology processing services

Please Note: This role has two available shift options: 6:00 pm – 2:00 am PT or 9:00 pm – 5:00 am PT.

The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $110,00 and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and location. Discretionary bonuses may be awarded in recognition of individual and firm performance — and profit-sharing partnership contributions to 401(k) accounts may be given based on firm performance.
