Job Description:

In this role, you will design power solutions and products based on customer requirements that cannot be fulfilled by standard off-the-shelf MEAN WELL products. The power solutions will be integrated with a MEAN WELL power supply at their core, and you will apply a broad variety of engineering subject areas to evaluate, design, and integrate products that will be manufactured locally at our value-added center. Applicants should have experience with power electronics and system integration. This will be a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn about and design power products for a diverse customer base that spread across many industries.

Job Responsibilities:

· Participate in project discussions with sales team and customer and propose optimal power solution designs that would fulfill customer requirements

· Design and integrate power solutions based on customer and product manager’s requirements

· Produce prototype systems for customer evaluation

· Perform design verification and qualification tests on designed systems

· Support development of production and test SOPs, fixtures, and documentations

· Drive continuous improvement in production processes such as testing, calibration, material handling, assembly, etc.

· Diagnosis and troubleshoot customer application issues related to the power solutions

Job Requirements:

· Ability to design power products and systems

· Experience with creating electrical schematics and mechanical drawings

· Ability to create work procedures, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings

· Proficient with lab tools such as multi-meters, oscilloscope, power analyzers, power sources, etc.

· Good communications skills

· Experience with electrical communication protocols and software integration is a plus

· 1+ years of experience as system design engineer or product design engineer

Minimum Education:

· A bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science) or other applicable technical degree is required
