Summary / Objective

Marquis Industrial Services is currently recruiting for Carpenters with experience in industrial construction.

Essential Functions

• Adheres to all OSHA, site specific and Marquis Industrial Services safety requirements
• Participate in safety pre-job audits (JSA’s) with the work crew to ensure all safety hazards have been identified
• Skilled in using carpentry tools and equipment
• Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers complete task on time without sacrificing quality and or safety
• Lift and carry materials and tools throughout work areas using appropriate equipment
• Maintain neat and orderly work area at all times
• Following blueprints and or sketches to build projects as designed
• Ordering material as needed for the job
• Ensuing adequate inventory of material at all times
• Able to complete all required daily, weekly and monthly paperwork in a timely and efficient manner
• Able to respond positively to any inquires and/or complaints from the superintendents or client
• Able to make decisions based on all available facts
• Willingness to train co-workers
• Excavates and preps for concrete forms
• Any other duties as assigned by supervision.

The work environment characteristics described represent f those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

• Working around moving mechanical parts
• Exposed to all types of weather conditions – hot /humid/cold/wet
• Working in high noise areas

• Stand for long periods of time
• Ability to feel and reach with hands and arms
• Ability to stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear and taste and smell.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Must have the ability to take direction, comprehend instructions and work well with others
• Must be able to follow both verbal and written instructions

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent
• Ability to pass Hair Follicle Testing
• Acceptable Background
• Must be able to read and interpret basic blueprints and ISO drawings
• TWIC Card
• At least three (3) years of previous industrial carpenter experience.
• Must be willing to work overtime
• Required to wear PPE on job site at all times.
• Valid Driver’s License
• NCCER carpenter certification a plus
• Basic math skills
• Ability to read a tape measure
