Position Objective: The Facilities Manager is responsible for maintaining the equipment and facility functions of the Plants at YouBar, Inc., a protein bar manufacturer. This position will be overseeing two facilities: one in Monterey Park and the other located in the City of Industry. The Facilities Maintenance Manager is responsible for coordinating activities of workers and service employees engaged in the Food Production Plants. This position works closely with the Operations Manager, Plant Manager, Facility Maintenance Manager, and the Sanitation Manager. This role reports to the COO.

Job Opportunity: YouBar is seeking a PM Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead our Sanitation and Maintenance teams to support a growing manufacturing company. This position represents a great opportunity to enhance the Sanitizing and Maintenance practices with a leadership team that values safety, GMP’s, and Preventive and Facility Maintenance processes.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversees the daily workflow, scheduling, and assignments of both facilities while managing the sanitation and maintenance teams.
• Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders
• Provide safety training to production and sanitation employees on proper machine SOP’s SSOP’s and GMP’s
• Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of production equipment as well as the interior and exterior areas of the facilities, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces
• Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff
• Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors
• Collaborating with upper management on budgeting for the facilities sanitation and maintenance needs
• Follow all OHSA regulations for food manufacturing
• Other tasks as assigned by Manager

Job Qualifications/Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 5 Years plant, production, manufacturing, or equivalent experience
• Ability to assess, troubleshoot production equipment
• Experience with principles and operation of equipment such as commercial extruders, horizonal flow wrappers, vertical flow wrappers, enrobers, x-ray machines and mixers through PMs.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of Redzone a plus
• Strong people management, communication and motivational skills with a diverse employee population
• Must be able to work safely and accurately in a fast paced environment
• Must be able to lift/pull/push/lift/carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to climb ladders and access roof using all safety protocols
• Ability to stand 100% of the time
• Food Handler’s Certificate
